Romania has achieved an impressive score of 69 in AI adoption among its population, placing it 10th globally. This demonstrates a strong willingness to embrace technological advancements, highlighting the country’s potential in the evolving digital landscape.

In terms of workforce AI literacy, Romania scores 63, which is higher than its neighbors Hungary (54), Czechia (59), and Bulgaria (56). This indicates a solid foundation in AI skills, crucial for enhancing competitiveness in global markets.

Moreover, Romania ranks 13th out of 25 top outsourcing destinations worldwide. It outperforms all African destinations and most Latin American countries, save for Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. This reflects Romania’s growing reputation as a viable hub for tech talent and services.

The country also boasts a general readiness score of 59.4, further underscoring its capabilities in integrating AI into various sectors. With a pipeline educational score of 62, Romania ranks 11th globally, ensuring a steady influx of educated professionals in the field of AI.

Although there is a 6-point gap between AI adoption and workforce literacy in Romania, this gap is significantly smaller than the discrepancies seen in Hungary (32 points) and Bulgaria (26 points). This suggests room for improvement while still maintaining a positive trajectory.

With a general score of 59.4, Romania is just 1.8 points behind Poland and 1.65 points behind Indonesia in the global ranking, positioning it well for future advancements.
