Alexandru Mitriță sets a milestone in China with 10 goals and 10 assists this season

At just 31 years old, Alexandru Mitriță has made a remarkable achievement in the Chinese football league, becoming the first player to score 10 goals and provide 10 assists in a single season. This milestone came after a standout performance in a recent match against Wuhan Three Towns, where he scored a goal and assisted another, contributing to a decisive 4-1 victory.

Mitriță's journey in China began in the summer of 2025 when he transferred from Universitatea Craiova to Zhejiang Professional, a move that brought a two-million-euro fee to his former club. During his time with Universitatea Craiova, he made 141 appearances, netting 66 goals and providing 32 assists, while also winning the Romanian Cup in the 2017/2018 season.

Just 24 hours after his impressive game in China, Mitriță returned to Romania to support his former team, Universitatea Craiova, as they faced FCSB in a key SuperLiga match. The game was broadcast live on Digi Sport 1 and kicked off at 20:30.
