Cluj-Napoca opens a state-of-the-art neurosurgery center

A new neurosurgery center has been inaugurated at the County Emergency Hospital in Cluj-Napoca, marking a significant advancement in medical care for the region. This center is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Eastern Europe and is equipped with over 100 beds and seven operating rooms.

The project was funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and national funds, showcasing a commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in Romania. During the inauguration, interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized the necessity of investments and modern equipment to ensure quality medicine.

Bolojan praised the medical school in Cluj, recognizing the dedication of local doctors who play a pivotal role in healthcare delivery in Transylvania. He described Cluj as a true locomotive of economic and regional development, highlighting its position as one of the strongest areas of growth in the country.

In his speech, Bolojan also expressed gratitude and respect for the local administration, noting the collaboration between public and private sectors, including business owners who contribute to the economy of the Cluj region. He reiterated that without further investments and modern facilities, expectations for quality healthcare in the coming years would not be realistic.
