Dai Nippon Printing set to enhance Romania's printing industry through major acquisitions
Dai Nippon Printing (DNP), one of the largest printing and technology companies in the world, is making a significant move by entering the Romanian market. This expansion comes as DNP acquires Inform Lykos, the market leader in Romania's printing sector, along with Pink Post.
The total transaction is estimated at 364 million euros, reflecting DNP's commitment to strengthening its presence in Romania and enhancing the local industry. Additionally, DNP has made a voluntary takeover offer for Austriacard Holdings, which owns Inform Lykos, further solidifying its strategic investments in the region.
As part of this process, DNP is currently awaiting approval from Austrian authorities regarding foreign investments. However, it has already successfully obtained foreign direct investment (FDI) authorizations in both Romania and Greece.
Moreover, DNP has received antitrust approvals in several countries, including Austria, Germany, and Turkey, paving the way for a smoother transition into the Romanian market. This development not only marks a significant step for DNP but also promises to bolster Romania's printing capabilities and market competitiveness.
