FJORD nominated for Oscars as Romania's official entry

FJORD, the latest film by acclaimed director Cristian Mungiu, has been nominated for the Oscars and is Romania's official submission for the prestigious awards. This recognition comes on the heels of Mungiu winning his second Palme d'Or for the film, highlighting its impact on the international cinema stage.

The film will be launched in Romania on January 15, 2027, marked by a gala at the Sala Palatului in Bucharest, featuring special appearances by stars Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve. Before the official release, FJORD will have a special screening on October 24, 2023, starting at 18:00, projected simultaneously in all available cinemas across Bucharest and the country.
