Gabriela Adameșteanu joins cultural events celebrating Romanian literature in Brussels

The vibrant cultural scene in Brussels has come alive with the opening of Romanian cultural events, which began on Thursday. A highlight of the festivities is the annual 'Terres mythiques'/'Ținuturi mitice' festival, now in its 14th edition, bringing together Romanian writers and those from the diaspora.

This year's festival features a stellar lineup of authors, including Gabriela Adameșteanu, Matei Vișniec, Tatiana Țîbuleac, Bogdan Crețu, and Veronica D. Niculescu. These events provide a wonderful opportunity for readers to engage with writers in a relaxed setting, fostering direct connections between them.

Gabriela Adameșteanu will take the stage this Saturday at the Alianța Franceză in Brussels, where she will discuss her experiences within the francophone literary space and her books translated into French. Additionally, another significant event will take place the same day at Castelul Huldenberg, located 20 kilometers from Brussels.

The Castelul Huldenberg event, organized annually by the Embassy in collaboration with various associations, has a strong Romanian component. This year, it focuses on the region of Dobrogea, showcasing its history, culture, and products, including renowned Dobrogea wines. Titled 'DOBROGEA & PONTUS EUXINUS - Salonul Toamnei Românești', this gathering promises to be a rich celebration of Romanian heritage.
