14 Sep 2026, 15:32

Jetour officially entered the Romanian market on September 14, 2026, marking an exciting new chapter for the automotive brand. With a robust presence in over 100 countries and regions, Jetour aims to establish itself firmly in Romania, which is now its second-largest market in the European Union after Poland.

The brand has already made significant strides globally, having sold over 2.5 million automobiles by the end of August 2026. To cater to Romanian customers, Jetour will initially operate through a network of 10 authorized sales and service locations, with plans to expand this to 13-15 points by the end of the year.

Jetour's flagship model, the Jetour X50, boasts impressive features, including a length of approximately 4.4 meters, five seats, and a spacious trunk of nearly 400 liters. Under the hood, the Jetour X50 is powered by a 1.5 Turbo engine that produces up to 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a 6DCT automatic transmission.

In terms of technology, the Jetour X50 is equipped with a dual 10.25-inch multimedia display and offers wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 360° panoramic camera enhances safety and convenience for drivers.

As Jetour enters the competitive Romanian market, it faces notable rivals such as the Dacia Duster, Chery Tiggo 4, and Renault Captur. Despite a 10.12% decrease in new car registrations in Romania compared to 2025, with 86,142 new automobiles registered in the first eight months of 2026, Jetour is optimistic about its growth potential in this evolving landscape.

Ke Chuandeng, president of Jetour International, is confident that the company's innovative offerings will resonate with Romanian consumers, paving the way for a successful journey ahead.
