Klarwin launches G-DEPLOY to enhance water loss detection in Romania
Klarwin has introduced G-DEPLOY, a cutting-edge platform aimed at improving the planning of water loss detection equipment in Romania. The official launch took place on September 9 at the ExpoApa 2026 event, held at Klarwin's stand in Pavilion B2 of ROMEXPO.
G-DEPLOY, developed by Gutermann, utilizes data about pipe networks and available installation points to generate preliminary sensor placement recommendations. This innovative tool allows operators to efficiently calculate how much of their network can be covered with sensors, ultimately aiming to reduce water losses.
During the launch event, attendees were treated to a demonstration of the platform, which highlighted its capabilities in providing digital planning solutions essential for monitoring water networks. The event also featured discussions on the role of technology and data-driven planning in water loss reduction programs, with representatives from Klarwin, Gutermann, and the Romanian Water Association sharing insights.
Reducing water losses remains a significant challenge for operators across Romania, who manage extensive networks with varying levels of modernization. The efficient use of available resources and investments is crucial in tackling this issue. G-DEPLOY addresses these needs by generating parameters for sensor placement and identifying poorly monitored areas in the network.
Ionuț Dumitrescu, NRW Department Manager at Klarwin, emphasized that G-DEPLOY brings data and planning to the forefront of the water loss reduction process. Meanwhile, Tomislav Vitovski from Gutermann noted that the partnership with Klarwin enables Romanian operators to access the latest Gutermann technologies.
The ExpoApa 2026 event marked its 26th edition, showcasing nearly 90 exhibitors from 13 countries and attracting over 4,000 participants. Key themes included reducing losses, digitalization, and monitoring infrastructure, all critical to modernizing the water sector in Romania. Daniel Craia, Executive Director of the Romanian Water Association, remarked that such events present essential technologies to the water community, fostering progress in the industry.
Klarwin stands as a leader in European integrated systems engineering for fluid management, designing and implementing solutions across vital industries including automotive, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, energy, and environmental technologies. With G-DEPLOY, they continue their commitment to advancing water management solutions in Romania.
