Exciting developments are on the horizon for sports fans in Romania, with new stadiums planned for both Oradea and Timișoara. The contracts for these ambitious projects have recently been signed by the respective local authorities, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the region's sports infrastructure.

In Timișoara, the new stadium will boast a capacity of 32,000 seats, featuring fully covered stands and distinct violet seats, a nod to the local football culture and the loyal supporters of Politehnica Timișoara. The stadium is designed to meet UEFA category 4 standards, ensuring it can host both domestic matches and international competitions.

The project is backed by the Timiș County Council, which has committed at least 125 million lei for the stadium's construction during the 2026–2027 period. The construction contract has been awarded to a consortium led by Concelex, alongside Construcții Erbasu and Terra Gaz Construct, giving them several months to finalize the project.

Meanwhile, in Oradea, the construction contract was signed recently, with the local company CON-A from Sibiu winning the bid. The design phase is expected to be completed within six months, paving the way for actual construction to commence, which is projected to take 24 months. If all timelines are adhered to, Oradea could see its new stadium ready by 2029.

These developments are not just about building new arenas; they represent a commitment to cultivating sports and community spirit in these cities. The new stadiums promise to enhance the local experience for fans and athletes alike, ushering in a new era for football in Oradea and Timișoara.
