Over 3,400 Educators Sign Up for the 2026 Digital Teaching Festival

More than 3,400 teachers from Romania and the Republic of Moldova have registered for the fifth edition of the Digital Teaching Festival, an event aimed at enhancing educational practices in the digital age.

Organized by Techsoup, the festival will take place online and for free from September 1 to 4, 2026, on the Predau Viitor Course Platform. Registrations are currently open, inviting educators to engage in a wide range of topics.

Among the themes covered will be computer education, digital citizenship, critical and creative thinking, as well as learning with and for adolescents. The festival will feature a diverse lineup of speakers, including Marek Tuszynski, Magdalena Balica, Dragan Gašević, and many more.

The event has a strong history, having reached over 16,000 educators, school directors, and educational decision-makers in its first four editions. This year’s festival includes 13 live sessions, 8 pre-recorded sessions, and an online course, all designed to foster professional growth.

The first three days will focus on established themes such as digital citizenship, pedagogy, and computational thinking, while the fourth day introduces a new theme centered on adolescent education. Live sessions will be conducted by researchers and educational experts from both domestic and international institutions, utilizing Zoom for accessibility.

All content will remain available until September 14, 2026, allowing participants to revisit the material at their convenience. The festival, conceived and created by educators for educators, has consistently received positive feedback, with 95% of participants rating their experience as useful or very useful for their professional development.

Since its inception in 2022, the Digital Teaching Festival has garnered support from over 150 institutional partners and pro bono speakers across its previous editions. The 2026 edition enjoys backing from PPC Energie, Rețele Electrice România, and Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, among others, demonstrating a robust commitment to enhancing education in the region.
