Passengers foiled a major terrorist attack on a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv

In a remarkable display of bravery, passengers aboard a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv intervened to prevent a potential tragedy. Erez Golan, the Vice Ambassador of Israel to Romania, praised the 'incredible courage' of the Israeli citizens on board who thwarted a terrorist attempt during the flight.

The incident involved an altercation between the pilots, where one pilot stabbed the other, causing the aircraft to enter a rapid descent. Fortunately, the quick actions of the passengers resulted in them entering the cockpit and stopping the pilot who had become a threat. The plane, which was carrying around 180 passengers, landed safely at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport after being diverted to Saudi Arabia.

The flight, operated by Flydubai, had departed from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, and was carrying over 170 passengers, most of whom were Israeli citizens, with only three exceptions. Golan characterized the act as a planned act of terrorism and reiterated that Israel remains the most threatened country in the world, highlighting the relentless nature of jihadist terrorism.
