In an exciting development for local sports fans, Pitești is set to welcome a modern stadium that will boast a capacity of 15,200 seats. This ambitious project, which is expected to cost around 100 million euros, is rapidly taking shape following the demolition of the old stadium in the summer of 2023.

The new stadium for FC Argeș will not only serve as a venue for football matches but will also feature impressive amenities including a strength training room of at least 500 square meters, a recovery room, two saunas, and a medical cabinet. Additionally, it will house a club museum and a merchandise store, enhancing the overall experience for fans.

Construction is progressing swiftly, with the arena's working area already resembling a football stadium. As of September 16, 2026, Digi Sport captured images of the construction site in Trivale, showcasing the exciting evolution of the project.

Set to be completed within 26 months from the start of construction, the stadium is slated for a summer 2028 opening. Notably, it will be the first arena in Romania to operate entirely on renewable energy during matches, setting a benchmark for sustainability in sports facilities.

As a unique addition, FC Argeș plans to bury a time capsule at the site, containing significant items related to the club and messages from supporters. This gesture not only marks a moment in the club's history but also connects future generations with the passionate community surrounding FC Argeș.
