Roger returns to Romania, joins Corvinul for a promising season

After a two-year stint abroad, Roger has made his return to Romania, officially signing with Corvinul for the 2024/2025 season. At 30 years old, Roger brings a wealth of experience back to his homeland, having previously played for clubs like CFR Cluj and Ypiranga FC in Brazil.

Roger’s journey has seen him evolve in several competitive leagues, including a successful run in the SuperLiga where he won the championship with CFR Cluj. His impressive track record includes 69 appearances for UTA Arad and 35 games for CFR Cluj, showcasing his capability as a valuable team player.

Having left U Cluj on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, Roger spent a brief period away from Romania before making his way back. He debuted for Corvinul this season, already contributing with seven appearances and playing key matches against notable teams such as FCSB, Paksi FC, HNK Rijeka, and FC Astana.

Currently, Corvinul is positioned sixth in the league standings with nine points, while their upcoming match against Dinamo, who leads the table with 13 points, is set to take place on Saturday at 21:30.
