For the first time, Romania was represented at the FEIF YouthCup, an international youth event held every two years. This momentous occasion featured two talented young riders, Péter Eszter and Kovács Adrienn, who showcased their skills on the international stage.

The 15th edition of the YouthCup took place from July 13 to 19, 2026, in Rieden-Kreuth, Bavaria, Germany, attracting 86 young riders aged between 14 and 17. Eszter participated in two events with her rented horse, Reynier, finishing 26th out of 32 in the T7 category and 26th out of 29 in the Trail event. Meanwhile, Kovács Adrienn competed in three events with her horse, Elja, achieving an impressive 8th place in the Flag Race.

Both riders expressed their pride in representing Romania. Adri remarked, 'I wrote history in sports,' while Eszter reflected on the invaluable experiences gained during the competition. Adri, who experienced a mix of emotions throughout her performances, felt concentrated and successful by the end of her third event, calling it a 'miracle.'

Eszter noted the dedication of top competitors and recognized her own growth during the challenges. She shared her journey of overcoming pre-competition nerves and finding calm during the events. Both riders are eager to continue their journey in equestrian sports, with Adri aiming to qualify for the next international youth competition and eventually the World Senior Championship.

The YouthCup serves as a platform that combines sport, education, and international friendship, reflecting the values of the FEIF organization. It represents a new beginning and community experience for young riders like Eszter and Adri, who hope to inspire others in Romania's equestrian community.
