Romania secures a decisive victory against Cuba in Under-17 World Volleyball Championship

Romania showcased an impressive performance, defeating Cuba with a score of 3-0 in their latest match at the Under-17 World Volleyball Championship in Doha, Qatar. The match took place on Saturday and lasted an hour and 16 minutes, highlighting Romania's strong recovery after a disappointing debut against Italy.

In this match, Romania's Alexandru-Gabriel Apostu emerged as a key player, scoring 15 points, while Tudor Mihail Calciu and Matei Constantin Mihăilă contributed significantly with 14 points each. Additionally, Tudor Andrei Șuteu added 11 points to secure a solid win for the team.

Romania's coach, Marian Apostu, will be proud of his team's resilience following their earlier loss to Italy, which had ended 0-3. In the same group, Italy continued their strong performance by defeating India 3-1, maintaining their position at the top of the group standings with 6 points.

With this victory, Romania now shares 3 points with India, while Cuba remains without a point. The team is set to play its final group match against India on August 24, with the game scheduled to start at 14:00 Romanian time.
