Romania sets world record with the largest reformer Pilates session
Romania has proudly achieved a world record for the largest reformer Pilates session, celebrating a century of Pilates globally. This historic event took place on September 5, at AFI Cotroceni, where 117 participants engaged in a synchronized 40-minute workout.
The event was organized by Body Tailors Pilates, led by founder Andrei Ispas, who is also a doctor in Physical Education and Sports with a specialization in Pilates on machines. The three-day event not only marked the record but also aimed to highlight the benefits of movement and wellness.
Participants executed their routines in a specially arranged arena in the ice rink area of AFI Cotroceni, guided by Ispas and his team of instructors. Ispas expressed pride in the community's involvement, stating that it exceeded their expectations and was the result of many years of hard work.
The enthusiasm for Pilates was evident, as Body Tailors Pilates provided free access to classes during the event. Looking ahead, Ispas hopes this achievement will help position Romania on the international wellness map and intends to promote reformer Pilates further within the country.
Body Tailors Pilates has plans for expansion, aiming to open new franchise centers outside the capital and to implement the Home Tailors Reformer concept, allowing subscribers to practice Pilates from home. Currently, the Body Tailors network comprises seven studios in Bucharest and boasts a dedicated team of 25 people serving over 4,500 clients annually.
