Samsung has achieved the prestigious Superbrands status for 2026–2027, solidifying its place as a trusted name among Romanian consumers. This recognition comes after a thorough evaluation by a council of 30 business leaders, underlining the brand's strong reputation and commitment to innovation.

In this year's edition, titled 'The Innovation Legacy', Samsung stands out as one of the few brands to appear in both the top 20 Consumer brands and the top 20 Business brands. The research conducted by Ipsos involved 1,500 urban respondents aged 18 to 54, who assessed 1,246 brands across various criteria, including leadership, trust, and dynamism.

Out of an initial list of 1,935 brands from 61 categories, 500 became eligible for the Superbrand status. Notably, 76% of participants expressed the importance of innovative products and services from Romanian brands, reflecting a growing demand for quality and differentiation in the market.

In addition to its branding achievements, Samsung has introduced services in Bucharest and Ilfov, including Premium Plus, which offers next-day home assistance for televisions of 98 inches and larger. Furthermore, the Van Service provides 24-hour repairs for premium Galaxy S and Z phone lines, contributing to a significant 41% reduction in repair numbers over the past three years.

Samsung's commitment to education and innovation is evident through its Solve for Tomorrow program, which gathered 419 projects from high school students in Romania, exceeding initial goals by 19.8%. The winning team, InSightEd from Satu Mare, developed an AI-based application linked to a smart bracelet for visually impaired students, showcasing the brand's dedication to social impact.

The program has now opened registrations for its sixth edition, introducing an AI education workshop and a new theme focused on financial education through technology. Samsung has also been recognized as the 'Most Trusted Technology Brand' by HotNews readers, with significant recognition for its AI features.

Simona Panait, Director of Marketing for Samsung Electronics Romania and Bulgaria, emphasizes that for Samsung, innovation is meaningful when technology seamlessly integrates into people's lives. She notes that the Superbrands status not only confirms the trust Romanians have in the brand but also represents a responsibility to maintain that trust through continuous innovation.
