Young Pianist Antonia Tașu Shines at International Competition in Tokyo

Antonia Tașu, a talented 20-year-old pianist from Constanța, has made her mark on the international music scene by bringing home the second prize and the Amina Award from the 22nd edition of the Romania International Music Competition in Tokyo.

Currently a second-year student at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Antonia studies under the guidance of professor Vlad Dimulescu. She began her piano training in 2010 and has passionately pursued her musical journey ever since.

Antonia's dedication to her craft has led her to participate in masterclasses and workshops in both Romania and Germany. Since 2011, she has entered numerous competitions across the globe, including countries like Belarus, Canada, Germany, Israel, Italy, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Her impressive accolades include winning first and second prizes at various competitions, with notable victories such as the Grand Prix at Stage Stars in Kiev, and first prizes at the International Musical Virtual Festival Competition in Israel, the International Music Competition in Silk Way, Moscow, and the Slavic Music Festival in Belgrade. In 2021 alone, she achieved multiple international distinctions, winning first prizes in Belgrade, Moscow, Israel, and Canada.

Antonia also earned second prizes at prestigious events like the International Piano Competition Sergei Rachmaninov and the International Piano Competition Orbetello. Her success at online international competitions further showcases her exceptional talent and dedication to music.
