Youth from Romania and Bulgaria Collaborate for Safer Driving and Green Economy

A significant step towards youth safety and environmental awareness took place as young people from Bulgaria and Romania gathered for two cross-border training sessions. This initiative, named 'Safety and Inclusion of Youth in a Cross-Border Context: Modernizing Training Facilities and Developing a Comprehensive Guide of Best Practices,' aims to empower the next generation.

The first training session was held in Craiova, focusing on safe driving for youth. Participants engaged in practical guidance, complemented by visits to the Botanical Garden of Craiova and the Nicolae Romanescu Park, providing a blend of education and local heritage appreciation.

The second session occurred at the Academy of Economics in Sviștov, where the emphasis shifted to green economy and corporate social responsibility. Fifteen students from the Academy joined five Romanian students in discussions about sustainability and the green transition, fostering a collaborative spirit between the two nations.

This project, implemented by the Academy of Economics in Sviștov, is supported by the Dolj County Police Inspectorate and the Dolj County School Inspectorate in Romania. It is funded through the Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Program, highlighting the commitment to enhancing educational, cultural, and historical ties between Craiova and Sviștov.
