Zeljko Kopic shows support for Romania ahead of Poland match
Zeljko Kopic, the former coach of Dinamo București, is gearing up to support Romania as they face Poland in a crucial match on Friday at 21:45. Despite currently managing Wieczysta Krakow, Kopic has not forgotten his roots and expressed his encouragement for the Romanian team, saying, 'Vă vreau tot binele.'
At 49 years old, Kopic has been closely following the progress of Romanian players, although he hasn't watched Poland's matches recently. He remains hopeful that Romania will secure their first points in the Nations League, stating, 'Vreau ca domnul Hagi și România să reușească un meci bun.' He plans to attend the match in Warsaw to witness the performance of the team he once coached.
Kopic departed from Romania after two and a half years in the SuperLigă and is now focused on his role in Poland, where he signed with Wieczysta Krakow. However, his position there is under scrutiny, as Polish media reports suggest he could be dismissed during the competition break following a series of poor results, including being eliminated from the Polish Cup by a third-division team and failing to win any of his four league matches.
Despite the challenges in his current role, Kopic remains optimistic about Romania's chances and is eager to see how they will perform against Poland. He acknowledged the improvements in the team, particularly noting their good match against Sweden and the changes seen in the game against Bosnia.
