New Guide Helps Young Romanians Abroad Access Education in Romania
A new initiative is making it easier for young Romanians living abroad to pursue their studies back home. Launched on September 4, 2026, the guide, titled 'ProEduHub – Facilitating Access for Young Romanians in the Diaspora to Education in Romania. Come Home!', is designed specifically for Romanian youth aged 15 to 25.
This project, financed by the Department for Romanians Everywhere, targets young Romanians from Italy and Belgium, as well as their families. It aims to provide comprehensive information about studying in Romania, offering a step-by-step explanation of the necessary steps to continue their education.
The guide includes details on who can apply as a 'Romanian from abroad', the differences between types of available study places, and the documents required for the admission file. Additionally, it features a recommended calendar for admission preparation and information about the recognition of diplomas obtained abroad.
To ensure accessibility, the guide is designed to be clear, structured, and easy to follow. The ProEduHub project also offers a dedicated online platform and a helpline at +40 21 9615 for counseling.
With a total approved budget of 151,675 lei, the funding is non-repayable and provided by the Department for Romanians Everywhere, with InfoCons contributing at least 5%. This initiative represents a significant step towards re-engaging young Romanians in the educational opportunities available in their homeland.
