08 Sep 2026, 11:14

Pitești is set to welcome a state-of-the-art stadium, marking a significant milestone for the city and its beloved football club, FC Argeș. The new venue will boast a capacity of 15,200 seats and is expected to open its doors in the summer of 2028, following a construction period of 26 months.

The old stadium was demolished in the summer of 2023, and since then, FC Argeș has been playing its home matches in Mioveni. This new arena, with an investment of approximately 100 million euros, will not only enhance the matchday experience for fans but also set a precedent in sustainability, as it will be the first stadium to operate entirely on renewable energy during games.

In addition to its green credentials, the arena will feature advanced amenities including a 500 square meter fitness room, a recovery room, two saunas, and a medical cabinet. Fans can look forward to the inclusion of a club museum that celebrates the history of FC Argeș, as well as a merchandise store showcasing the team's latest offerings.

With modern lighting technology using LED for the façade, the new stadium promises to be a vibrant addition to Pitești's landscape. This project reflects the commitment to creating a sustainable and engaging space for sports and community, ensuring that Pitești remains a hub for football lovers for years to come.
