Romania's inflation rate shows signs of improvement in August 2026
In August 2026, Romania's annual inflation rate improved to 6.17%, down from 8.16% in July. This decline offers a hopeful glimpse into the country's economic stability amidst a challenging inflationary landscape.

Looking ahead, the National Bank of Romania has revised its inflation forecast for the end of 2026 to 6.1%, up from a previous estimate of 5.5%. Furthermore, the bank anticipates a further reduction to 3.4% by the end of 2027, a sign of cautious optimism for consumers and businesses alike.
